BricAbrac Teatro gana el certamen Barroco Infantil en Almagro Efe – viernes, 7 de julio de 2023 Ha presentado su espectáculo de títeres y cine en directo ‘Don Quijote nómada’, que ha concitado el interés del jurado del certamen, que ha valorado este proyecto que fusiona lo artesanal y lo analógico con las nuevas herramientas de comunicación La compañía andaluza BricAbrac Teatro ha ganado la nueva edición del El Certamen Internacional Barroco Infantil, que nació en 2012 en el marco del Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Almagro para dar a conocer entre el público infantil el teatro del Siglo de Oro a través de un lenguaje accesible. BricAbrac Teatro, que ha presentado este año en Almagro su espectáculo de títeres y cine en directo ‘Don Quijote nómada’, ha concitado el interés del jurado del certamen, que ha valorado este proyecto que fusiona lo artesanal y lo analógico con las nuevas herramientas de comunicación. Los personajes construidos en papel, emanan del libro como si el sueño de Cervantes cobrara vida a partir de la materia prima de la que están compuestos los libros, y cinco cámaras repartidas por los sets de grabación recogen esta renovada versión del más clásico de los clásicos. La directora del Festival de Almagro, Irene Pardo, ha sido la encargada de dar lectura al acta del jurado, que ha valorado la adaptación y dirección de Elena Bolaños a partir de la novela del ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha, de Miguel de Cervantes. Una producción, ha dicho Pardo, en el que el jurado ha valorado «el magnífico uso de las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a una obra universal, en perfecta combinación con el riguroso y cuidado trabajo de los manipuladores, sin perder la esencia de un trabajo artesanal en la confección de títeres y elementos escenográficos, que unido al sentido del humor, consigue acercar el universo cervantino a un amplio abanico de público». Pardo también ha dado a conocer que el jurado de esta edición del Barroco Infantil también ha decidido conceder por unanimidad una mención especial a la obra «La vida es sueño» adaptada por Els Vandell y bajo la dirección de Fito Valles, producida por la compañía peruana Teatro La Plaza. ‘Nómada Don Quijote’ es la ganadora del certamen Barroco Infantil en el Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Almagro. La compañía sevillana bricAbrac ha ganado el duodécimo certamen Barroco Infantil del Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Almagro con su obra ‘Don Quijote nómada’. La obra dirigida por Elena Bolaños ha sido premiada por su magnífico uso de las nuevas tecnologías en combinación con el trabajo artesanal de títeres y elementos escenográficos, logrando así acercar el universo cervantino a un amplio público.También se ha otorgado una mención especial a la versión de ‘La vida es sueño’ realizada por la compañía peruana Teatro La Plaza. El jurado ha estado compuesto por diferentes estudiantes de colegios de la ciudad ciudadrealeña y por coordinadores del festival y del Área de Artes Escénicas del Ayuntamiento de Murcia.La obra ‘Don Quijote nómada’ se inspira en la novela de Cervantes y fusiona el espectáculo de títeres y el cine en directo, integrando la poética tradicional con la tecnológica. Los personajes en papel son grabados por cámaras y se narran en clave cómica las aventuras del caballero de la triste figura. Durante la rueda de prensa en la que se anunció al ganador, varios directores y compañías teatrales presentaron sus obras en el festival. Ricardo Iniesta de Atalaya, Eduardo Vasco de Noviembre Teatro, Rodrigo Arribas de Fundación Siglo de Oro y Guzmán Calzada de Miscelánea Ensemble destacaron la importancia del teatro como patrimonio universal y presentaron sus respectivas obras en el evento. Iniesta presentó ‘El avaro de Molière’, una versión musical actualizada de la obra del dramaturgo francés. Vasco presentó ‘Abre el ojo’ y ‘El recitado del verso clásico en discos de pizarra’, donde repasa la memoria sonora de actores españoles. Arribas presentó su versión de ‘La dama boba’ de Lope de Vega, y Calzada presentó ‘Eso rigor e repente’, un concierto que muestra los intercambios musicales en la época del Siglo de Oro. ‘Don Quixote Nomad’ is the winner of the Children’s Baroque competition at the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival.The Sevillian company bricAbrac has won the twelfth Children’s Baroque competition at the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival with its work ‘Don Quixote nomad’. The work directed by Elena Bolaños has been awarded for its magnificent use of new technologies in combination with the craftsmanship of puppets and set elements, thus bringing the universe of Cervantes closer to a wide audience. A special mention has also been given to the version of ‘Life is a dream’ performed by the Peruvian company Teatro La Plaza. The play ‘Don Nomad Quixote’ is inspired by Cervantes’ novel and fuses the puppet show and live cinema, integrating traditional poetics with technology. Around thirty shows will make up the program for the 40th edition of Palma Feria de Artes Escénicas de Andalucía, which will be held this year from July 3 to 7 in the Cordoba town of Palma del Río. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Palma Fair, the best showcase for the performing arts in Andalusia, we recovered Monday for the programming, extending the Fair to five days.

In general figures, in this programming preview that will be completed in the coming weeks, we announce 25 shows, five world premieres, five premieres in Andalusia, seven dance shows, two circus shows, seven children’s/family shows, four puppet shows, three al open air/street, seven theater shows and two musical shows, as well as the Max Award for the best dance show 2023.

This is the first time that nine of these companies have attended Feria de Palma as a selected company. It also highlights that at least thirteen of these shows have a prominent role for women, either by dramaturgy, choreography, interpretation, direction or production, performed by women.

Feria de Palma presents a diverse and open programme, with companies from Andalusia, the Community of Madrid, the Basque Country, Catalonia and Portugal. Through contemporary creation, Feria de Palma aims to reaffirm itself as a space for dialogue and plural perspectives; and it is an extraordinary meeting platform between different agents of the sector, in which multiple possibilities of exchanging experiences and artistic contracts are promoted.

This is how we celebrate our 40th anniversary. We don’t want to live in the past, but we don’t give up on our history. We want to value 40 years of history of Feria de Palma, 40 years of Andalusian theater history, 40 years of Andalusian cultural heritage.

A quality program that represents the diversity and plurality of the performing arts inside and outside of Andalusia.
