The Book Fair in San Roque will be held from April 10 to 14

Alameda Alfonso XI will once again be the scene of the San Roque Book Fair, which will be held from April 10 to 14. In addition to the book sales stalls, there will also be a concert, story-telling, a literary walk, workshops and signing of copies by their authors.

The mornings will be dedicated to educational centers, while the bulk of the activities will be concentrated in the afternoons. The Book Fair schedule indicates that it will begin on Wednesday, April 10, with a parade and a play “The Nomad Don Quixote” by bricAbrac Teatro, which will be performed at the Juan Luis Galiardo Theater both that day and on Thursday. and on Friday there will be workshops for schools in the morning.

On the afternoons of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 7:00 p.m., there will be story-telling at the Templete de la Alameda, and on Friday there will also be a talk, at 6:00 p.m., by Bruto Pomeroy titled “As a child I wanted to be like Ibáñez”, in the Library Assembly Room.

On Saturday, at 11 a.m., there will be a “Villa Carmela” Literary Walk and at noon you can tour San Roque with the activity “Telling through San Roque, walk with stories and music” with Diego Magdaleno as narrator and Don Jozelito as musician. The route of the activity will begin in the Miguel Angel Blanco park, the second story will be told in the La Paz neighborhood, the third in the María Domínguez Remón park and the fourth and last story will be at the Book Fair.

At 1 p.m. there will be a detective workshop; Later, at 7 p.m., a conference by Laura Freixas “It's not going to happen to me” and “Women's Literature.” And at 8 p.m. the day will end with a concert by the Honey River Jazz Band. On Sunday at noon you can enjoy a Willy Wonka Market and the closing of the fair will be at 2:00 p.m.

During the days of the Fair there will be book signings by local authors at the different stands and the photographs from the “Reading Moments” contest will be displayed in the Young Exhibition Room.
